Greetings to You in Jesus' Name

Restoration and Refreshing

Welcome to Different Church

I'm Ron Wallaplaque175x347ce and I want to introduce you to Different Church. If you decide to continue reading I ask you to bear with me if my explanations are not as clear as you would like. (Feel free to contact me.)

However, you might be asking why I want to tell you about DC.

My response is this. You and I can observe practices in various denominations and we can compare them with the practices of the Saints who lived in New Testament times. Then they were hearing the New Covenant - Kingdom of God teachings of Jesus Christ.

The practices of those Saints are no longer clearly seen and many have been overlaid with "church" traditions. Does the Lord want those early teachings practiced today? Should there be a return to them?

I believe the answers are Yes and Yes. I believe a return will occur. And I believe it will occur by the working of the Holy Spirit through the restoration and refreshing of Christ's Called-Out People. These two are central to the message of Different Church. They permeate the Book of Acts.

Different Church is not intended to be a new "church" or to produce one. (It's my desire that, as you read these pages, you are stirred to consider the essential message of Different Church.) Meetings may arise out of it. However, the Holy Spirit will do what He wills.

So Different Church is not a "church" - not even a restored or refreshed one!

[Please keep in mind as you read that you are welcome to contact me and comment, question or challenge these teachings.] The Menu on the left-hand side shows the scope of the teachings published so far.

A New Life - A New Start

THE GREATEST OF ALL GIFTS - AND IT'S ENTIRELY FREE

One strong purpose of this website is to help anyone who wants to find a new life. God offers you a new life. As of now, your present experience could be anything from devastation to disatisfaction. But whatever way you have lived your life up till now God offers you new life and a new start.

When we come into contact with the nature of Jesus Christ we realise our sins as well as the emptiness of our lifestyles.

Our sins are all the activities we do that are objectionable to God. Even if we are attempting to please God, or displease God, or please ourselves it doesn't make any difference - they make up the barrier that stands between you and God. It's a barrier no human being can penetrate - not by any means.

Establishing Your Pattern

Leading to Restoring Words

The Lord says: "HOLD FAST THE PATTERN OF SOUND WORDS which you have heard from me, in faith and love which are in Christ Jesus" (2 Timothy 1'13).

There are those who preach, those who teach and those who translate God's New Covenant - Kingdom of God word of Christ. Each one is responsible before God to do so accurately and in context.

But even before any of them begin this pattern should be well established in their thinking. The purpose of "Restoring Words" is all about that.

It should not be surprising that the Lord has a very serious admonition about a very definite boundary: "Now these things, brethren, I have figuratively transferred to myself and Apollos for your sakes, that you may learn in us not to think beyond what is written," 1 Corinthians 4'1-6.

Nevertheless . . .
